 Bishop Martin Shao of the Northern Diocese opened the transmitter of the Lutheran Radio Centre for the Kilimanjaro areas officially during the Sunday Service on September 10 th, 2005 in Kidia.

The Sunday service was aired live that morning, so that many listeners in the Northern Zone could follow the service on their radios.

After the service all the church elders and Lutheran Radio Staff were invited for a lunch together with the Bishop in the old, historic Church in Kidia(archaic church).
