The latest pictures are here!

On December 17th we had the following word of the day:

I am with you , says the Lord

to help you

Jeremia 30,11.

And that we really experienced this day!

This time we really had to load the car heavily with gravel, sand and cement. on the roof rack we placed the heavy antenna mast. It had been so heavy, that we needed 4 strong men to lift it up the roof rack! Just thinking how it can carry all the weight, made us very nervous.

With us on the trip was Macha, the welder of the antenna mast, and Temba the driver.

Fortunately we remembered another dirt road, to get to Mwika, it was newly crated, and very luckily we did not get any rain on the way up! This helped a lot not to smash the roof rack with the pot holes of the other road.

We were very lucky not to get stuck on the way up, and arrived the top of the mountain.

Macha, the welder started immeadetly to dig the hole for the foundation of the antenna mast, while Temba and Martin headed down again to buy more Sand and cement. They had to go another time, until there had been enough material on place to plaster the hut, and cement the antenna mast.

Then every one helped to erect the mast, and pour the cement into the foundation hole.

Shortly before it became dark, we all were on the road again heading down to Moshi, very thankful, that everything worked out well.
