gets Advocacy Coordinator Rev. Anicet Mutatina Maganya has joined the secretariat of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania as the new coordinator of ELCT Advocacy Desk effective January 2010. He takes over from Mr. Mallumbo William Mallumbo who was acting coordinator. Born 11 July 1977 at Rukale Village, Karagwe District in Kagera Region, Rev. Maganya completed Nyaishozi Primary School in Karagwe in 1992 and Bwiru Secondary School in Mwanza in 1996. He joined Ruhija Theological College in Bukoba, Kagera region, for three years between 1998 and 2000. And joined Makumira University College for further studies in theology which he completed in 2005. He worked as parish pastor at Njiapanda Lutheran Parish in Ngara District in 2005 and Kayanga Parish in Karagwe District for four years before joining the head office of Karagwe Diocese to fill the position of Mission and Evangelism Secretary in 2009 and webmaster of the Karagwe Diocese Website from 2008 to 2009. Rev. Maganya was ordained to become a pastor on 3 July 2005 at Nyakayanja Lutheran Parish in Karagwe where he was baptized on 11 October 1977. He is married to Edina and together they have two children: a girl named Everlyse and a boy named Anaiah. ### ================================================== |
