Best ELCT schools get recognition
The Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Churchin Tanzania (ELCT), Dr. Alex Malasusa, has given awards to the top 10 schools out of 66 whose students performed well in the 2013 ‘O’ level exams.
The schools are: Kidugala Lutheran Junior Seminary (Southern Diocese); Agape Lutheran Junior Seminary (Northern Diocese); Ailanga Lutheran Junior Seminary (Meru Diocese); Lutheran Junior Seminary Morogoro (ELCT Common Work) and Peace House Secondary School (North Central Diocese).
Others were: Karagwe Secondary School (Karagwe Diocese); Mbwawa Secondary School (Eastern and Coastal Diocese); Igumbilo Secondary School (Southern Diocese); Masama Secondary School (Northern Diocese) and Nronga Secondary School (Northern Diocese).
The Presiding Bishop issued certificates recently to the best schools at a brief ceremony during the ELCT Executive Council meeting held at the Lutheran Uhuru Hotel and Conference Centre 29 - 30 April 2014.
