The newly installed Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT), Dr Fredrick Onael Shoo, has commended the Government for taking action against corruption in the country.

He said within a short while the leadership of President Dr John Pombe Magufuli, the Prime Minister and their team have shown efforts to fight grand corruption. He made people cheer when he used a term coined by Dr Magufuli "bursting the boil" meaning dealing with corruption scandals head on.
